After 4 months of hard work and countless hours of research, development, planning and programming it is finally ready for you: our most substantial update of this summer. It mainly focuses on the options you have when sharing spots. This way you can add the sort of details, that will enable you to find specifically what you are looking for and give you a yet better idea of what a spot is about.

We looked at each sport and category individually cutting out all useless information while adding the options you really need (for example there are no freestyle spots in scuba diving but you may want to mark a longboard spot as a slide hill or car park).

All in all over 75 spot type options emerged from our research efforts (downhill run, skate park, Air base, cliff, rail spot, wreck diving spot etc etc). You can share information about access, best time to visit, night lights, nearby shops and anything else you may want to share. and we encourage everybody to share as much detail as possible to provide our community with the best possible impression of a spot.

Here's an overview of the most important changes:

- We created over 50 unique custom share websites, one for every sport (If you're not able to share any crucial information, please let us know. We don't have expert knowledge in every action sport but did the best we could)

- Everybody can now create a picture gallery. No need to register or log in.
- We redesigned the spot detail page for better overview.
- EVERYBODY can now EDIT every spot! thats why Spot have "Versions" now, just press the Edit button below the map!
- We added a "people section" to promote people meeting up. Locals can get listed for their home spots so that those who want to visit the spot can get in touch with them first. Always respect the locals! They usually make a spot what it is.

- You can now indicate the best time (day/hour/season) to visit a spot.
- You can share if there are night lights, nearby shops and access info.
- Also we fixed a lot of bugs regarding street view, markers, buttons and sports and so on

This is our biggest update since 6months! Special thanks to Yannick for working countless hours on the form structures. Special thanks to Jay for the massive testing! Special thanks to Léo who brought in some extravagant ideas for the new forms! And last but not least to Max who translated stuff and counteracts my language issues =)

I, Enrico, am really proud of my team! Finally those endless hours of thoughts and programming come to life at Youspots.com =)

Bests,
Enrico from Germany

p.s. Please report any bug you find, as always i try to fix it as soon as possible!

This is because we are investing all of our resources into the development of Youspots version 2.0 and our mobile apps. If you would like to contribute or become part of the team drop us an email. If not, just sit back and prepare to be amazed. In the meantime you'll find regular updates, fresh pics and videos and spectacular spots on our facebook page.
